Our Staff's Blogs

His Lavish Grace
My calling from the LORD is to pastor the church, to equip the saints
for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:12). My primary tasks in
accomplishing this goal are preaching and discipleship. Preaching is
still as straightforward and powerful as it was in the days of the
prophets and apostles. Every Sunday and Wednesday I stand before the
church and tell them what God’s word says and means. Discipleship
however, has begun to change a little with time. Nothing can
substitute for face to face conversations, but technology has
afforded us an opportunity to diversify our teaching and get our
message out to even more people. Since I want to take advantage of
every resource at my disposal to accomplish our mission, I have
started this blog. Now I can teach and train our church every day of
the week and hopefully reach another generation for the glory of
Jesus Christ. I hope that you too will be encouraged by God’s word
and receive Christ’s lavish grace.

NTBC Student Ministry
I felt the need to start this blog for several reasons. The first of which was experimental in nature, simply fueled by curiosity. I wanted to see how many of the students at New Temple would take the time to read devotional thoughts while they were checking myspace and facebook pages. Secondly, I wanted to take advantage of the internet to "let my light shine" in an attempt to use the technology which is at my disposal to encourage our students on days other than Sunday and Wednesday. Third, (and perhaps most selfishly) I simply wanted to write. I've always enjoyed writing, and I felt led to express this desire in this way. There is no specific order to the blog, I just write as I am led. If the site happens to get a significant "following," I will organize it a bit differently. As stated, it started as an experiment. I truly hope you will receive a blessing from these devotional thoughts, and I would certainly love to hear from you as you follow along in this journey.
