FAQ's

When are your worship services?
Our Sunday School begins at 9:45 AM, which is followed by our worship service at 10:45. On Sunday evenings join us for worship at 6:00 PM.

What am I expected to wear?
Please dress in the way you feel most comfortable. Members of New Temple wear anything from jeans to suits. Your clothing isn't important to God. Your willing and open heart is. Come dressed comfortably, but come ready to experience the presence God!

How would you describe your worship services?
We organize our worship services to be just that—worship services. Our sole purpose is to exalt our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. We do this through the reading of His Word, prayer, inspirational singing, and transformational preaching.

Do I need to bring anything to church?
No, but we are a Bible-teaching church. So, if you happen to own a Bible you may want to bring it. If not, we have Bibles available. During our services we usually place the scripture on the screens in the front of our sanctuary.

Will I be singled out during the service?
No. Some Sundays we may have a short time in which the congregation is given a chance to greet one another, but never will you have to stand and introduce yourself.

Is there a place for me in your church?
Yes. Regardless of age, gender or race, we will seek to love and relate to you and every member of your family. We believe that we grow closer by growing smaller. We encourage every visitor and member to get involved in small group Bible study.

What does it mean to “Reach Another Generation for Jesus Christ?”
It means that we are committed to leading our preschool, children and youth to a saving knowledge in the Lord Jesus Christ. The challenges they face (and will face) are overwhelming. The hope for the next generation is Jesus Christ and we will continually strive to lead our young members to Him.

What do you expect of members?
After examining Scripture, we have determined that the biblical model of church membership requires responsibility and accountability. We expect our members to pray, to give, to participate in church ordinances, to find a place of service, and to maintain the unity of the church.

How do you share your faith?
Through personal testimony in our places of work, school, and recreation. We send missionaries to foreign countries to share our faith. We also give through the Southern Baptist Convention’s Cooperative program, which uses the funds to send missionaries throughout the world.
